“Do Everything In Love.”

1 Corinthians 16:14

Will I be enough?

Breathe in.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. With Him, I am enough.

Breathe out.

If this is your first time homeschooling or your first time stepping into the classroom, then you have come to the right place.  I have been in both places, and let me tell you, the fear is good. It shows how much you care about doing this job honorably.  God honors that, and it also gives us a chance to come to Him with those fears and anxieties. He already knows how you feel about it, but He is also showing you that His purpose for you is greater than what you thought.

So far you are off to a great start. You have intuition. Teaching is a challenge on so many levels, and it should be; it is no mere trifle to hold a position of influence. Yet, God has entrusted us with his most precious people because He knows what He has equipped us with. The greatest gift he placed in us was to LOVE, and love is the secret that sets apart an exceptional teacher from the rest. No one is going to love your little ones more than you, therefore, you are the most qualified to educate them. There’s this wonderful verse in 1 Corinthians 1-2 that says, “ If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.”

In the end, it will not matter how much you know, but it will come down to how you love.

So, before the curriculum, prepare the heart and pray for the one you teach. Start with the heart (or the art, as I like to say!) and try out the art activity below. enjoy!
